HOW TO: EXTREME STROBING

extreme strobing for dewy, glowing, highlighted skin

Strobing has taken the beauty industry by storm and what many don't know is that strobing is just highlighting, giving the skin that moist, dewy look. So today, I'll be showing you how to strobe a little differently...

1. Use a dewy foundation. I used MAC Face & Body Foundation in C1.

2. Apply a gorgeous cream blush (that doesn't dry to a powder finish!) to the apple of the cheeks. I used NYX Cream Blush in Glow.

3. Then apply a liquid/cream highlighter like the Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Translucent Illuminator on the cheekbones, brow bone, above the brow, cupid's bow, bridge and tip of the nose and chin... or, wherever you'd like to highlight, for that JLo glow.

4. Then the most important step for that extra pop and dewiness.... Use a lipgloss!! A clear lipgloss can give the lips a glossy finish, so why can't it give the skin that same finish right? Use a non-sticky gloss like the N.Y.C Liquid Lip Shine in City's Clear to avoid a lot of that uncomfortable stickiness. Or, use a stickier gloss for extra staying power.

This technique may not be the best for everyone because the lipgloss can cause a little bit of stickiness on the skin, but for that extra moist and dewy glow, this is THE technique to try out.

So is strobing the new contouring? Try this out and let me know in the comments below. Don't forget to share this with other makeup lovers!

Good luck,
